2019 Charitable Fund Recipients

Numerica Credit Union presented more than $450,000 to 28 nonprofits in 2019. These funds came from the Numerica Charitable Fund, which provides support to organizations and projects addressing systemic community issues such as generational poverty, homelessness, food insecurity, crisis intervention, and access to quality education.

“Numerica is committed to enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams and building communities,” President and CEO Carla Cicero said. “We are proud to support organizations that foster education, support women and children, and work to end hunger and homelessness.”

The Numerica Charitable Fund provides grants to organizations who mirror the credit union’s guiding principles, and it is funded by members through Skip a Pay.*

The 2019 Numerica Charitable Fund grant recipients include:

Greater Spokane

North Idaho

  • Idaho Youth Ranch — Equine therapy helping youth overcome effects of trauma
  • Innovia Foundation — Supporting “Opening Books, Opening Doors” literacy initiative
  • Safe Passage — Transitioning domestic violence survivors to permanent housing

A passion for giving

The Numerica Charitable Fund is just one way Numerica gives back to the Spokane, North Idaho, Tri-Cities, and Wenatchee communities. The credit union commits each year to donate at least 5% of earnings through sponsorships, donations, grants, scholarships, and other charitable opportunities.

In 2018, Numerica’s passion for giving resulted in more than $1.7 million toward lending a helping hand, creating leaders, and celebrating our community through various efforts.

“In times of both crisis or prosperity, giving back and helping others is the true mark of a great community,” Cicero said.
