Numerica’s Budget Manager lets you:
- Track of spending by category
- View a budgets progress

- Add accounts
- Organize transactions

Setting up Budget Manager
- Log into Online Banking
- From the left toolbar, click More
- Click on Budget Manager
- Review and accept the Agreement and Disclosure Statement
- You're ready to add a budget!
How do I create a budget?
While in Budget Manager, navigate to Budgets. Choose the tags to track, create budget name and amount, and select accounts to track.
How do I edit a budget?
Maybe you’ve already reviewed your bills to find savings and know exactly what your budget should be. Or you’ve created a budget and want to make some changes.
To edit your budget, select the Budgets option on the Budget Manager navigation bar in order to edit or create Spending Targets.
Categorizing or tagging
Most transactions will have a default tag (previously known as a category) that is to the right of the transaction in a blue box. It could say something like “Dining Out” or “Personal”.
How do I change/add a tag?
You have several options to change or add a tag.
- Click on the tag next to the transaction that you would like to edit.
- Select the 3 dots Budget Manager menu and then select Transaction Search.
- Click on the tag name to edit.
- On the Budget Manager page, scroll down to Transactions and click on View All Transactions.
- Click on Budget Manager’s blue magnifying glass.
Select from the most popular tags or create your own. To create a new tag, just type it in. Clicking the apply this tag and title to all similar transactions will apply it to all transactions with the same name. Once a tag is selected, click save.
What does it mean to split a tag?
Tags can be split if members want a transaction to fall under 2 or more tags. Say that you went shopping at Walmart and bought groceries and household supplies. You can use a split tag in order to divide the purchase between those transactions.
On the “Edit Transaction” page, click on “Use Split Tag”.
Can I add an account from another financial institution?
Yes! From the Budget Manager page, go to the menu (3 vertical dots) and select Link Account.
This will allow you to select from a list of participating financial institutions. It will prompt you to enter your login information for that account and then will upload the account information.
How do I view my transactions in Budget Manager?
On the Budget Manager page, go to the accounts box located in the bottom left of the page. Click on the account you want to view. You can also go to the Transactions box at the bottom right of the Budget Manager page.
What is “Cash Flow” and how do I use it?
The cash flow calendar brings your budget to life through an interactive calendar.
- Navigate to “Cash Flow”
- Click the plus sign to "Add Income" or "Add Bill”
- Enter in the required information and select “Save”
This is a great tool to double check if you’re staying on your budget and avoiding impulse spending.
What are “Goals” and how do I create them?
S.M.A.R.T Goals (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely) help turn your dreams into a reality. With Budget Manager you can create savings goals, like saving for a vacation, or a debt reduction goal, like paying off a high-rate credit card.
- Navigate to Goals, and select “Add Goal.”
- Select your desired pay off or savings goal.
- Fill in the required information.
- Click "Save
Your day-to-day progress will be automatically updated.
What is “Net Worth”?
Net worth is your Assets and Liabilities. In the chart shown, the green bar reflects your assets and the red your liabilities.
In the section below the chart, you can select the arrow to get more details on your net worth.
Where are my old reports?
If you previously used Numerica’s online budgeting tool, you can find previous reports by going to the Reports tab and selecting Monthly Income/Expense.
