EWU Touchdowns for a Cause

Eastern Washington University Eagles football, beer, pizza, and community.

That’s right! Everyone scores big with Numerica Credit Unions Touchdowns for a Cause, where charities receive donations for EWU home game touchdowns.

Numerica’s partnership with EWU Athletics is an amazing opportunity to connect two brands and two amazing communities,” says Tim Shustoff, General Manager of EWU Sports.

“The vision and belief in EWU Athletics by Numerica Credit Union has helped shaped immense growth both in Numerica Credit Union RedZone, Tailgates & Touchdowns for a Cause, and further fan engagement.”

How does Touchdowns for a Cause work?

During each EWU Eagles home game Numerica donates $100 for every touchdown the Eagles make. A different charity receives the donation each game.

Representatives from the charity are invited to join Numerica on Roos field for a special recognition.

Last year, 38 home game touchdowns earned local Spokane charities $3,800:

  • 9/1: 8 touchdowns, $800 for Team Gleason
  • 9/22: 10 touchdowns, $1,000 for Community Cancer Fund
  • 10/6: 8 touchdowns, $800 for Free Rein
  • 10/27: 5 touchdowns, $500 for Embrace/Teen Closet
  • 11/9: 7 touchdowns, $700 for YMCA’s Camp Goodtimes

A winning combo
