16 students across Washington and North Idaho earned Numerica's $tarting off Right Scholarships through community involvement and demonstrated financial need.
For graduating seniors, the next step often comes with both opportunity and financial challenges. To help support their education goals, Numerica awarded $20,000 in $tarting Off Right Scholarships to 16 students selected for financial need and community involvement.
Since 2016, the scholarship program has awarded more than $250,000 to over 100 students pursuing college, trade school, and vocational education across Washington and North Idaho.
This year brought a record number of scholarship applications, reflecting both the growing need for educational support and the positive impact students are making throughout our communities.
Recipients were selected based on financial need and community involvement, recognizing students who are already strengthening the communities we call home through service, leadership and advocacy. Supporting people who make a positive impact is one way Numerica fulfills its purpose of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams and building communities.
"These students are already making a difference in their communities through service, leadership and advocacy. We're honored to support their educational journeys and invest in the future they're helping create."
- Jon Maroni, Financial Engagement Manager

Daniel Shoup of Dalton Gardens, Idaho, will attend Whitworth University this fall.
As a Coeur d'Alene Fire Cadet, Daniel completed 162 volunteer hours and responded to more than 60 medical calls during his senior year.
"Through this program I have been able to learn about leadership and lifesaving medical skills."

Julian Lozano-Cervantes of East Wenatchee will attend the University of Washington.
Through leadership roles in his school's mariachi program and M.E.Ch.A. club, Julian helped create opportunities for students to celebrate their culture and find a sense of belonging.
"Taking up leadership positions in those communities helped me grow out of my shell and become a true leader."

Nina Folsom of Spokane will attend Spokane Falls Community College.
Nina completed more than 75 hours of community service through nursing home outreach, community events, and unified sports programs for students with disabilities.
"I find fulfillment and satisfaction in serving those in need and being a positive and encouraging presence for others."
