What is Video Banking?
Video Banking is a way to do much of what you would accomplish inside a Numerica branch — but through a remote video connection.
Is Video Banking secure?
The security of your information is always a top priority, and that doesn’t change with our approach to Video Banking. The platform we utilize has received GIAC Security Essentials Certification (among other safety certifications) and is designed with the privacy of your transactions and account information in mind.
What transactions can I do through Video Banking?
From youth members to business accounts and most everything in between, the list of services available through Video Banking is abundant.
Schedule a Video Banking appointment to:
- Open a new account
- Receive assistance with Online Banking, including screen-sharing and co-browsing (with your permission, of course)
- Apply for a loan
- Manage your account (inquire about a transaction, open a share, file a fraud dispute, etc.)
- Conduct any number of other transactions!
But can I withdraw cash?
While we can’t pass you Benjamins through a screen, we can transfer funds, help you set up bill pay, or even chat about your most recent Netflix discovery (this is a human interaction, after all). But if it’s cash you want, allow us to point you to the nearest ATM. Between Numerica and our CO-OP network, one of the 30,000 ATMs you have access to is likely nearby.
Does Video Banking work on any device and browser?
Video Banking works on any personal device with a camera that has online capability. The platform works on virtually every online browser — but not Internet Explorer (Microsoft fans: use Microsoft Edge, which is the company’s replacement for Internet Explorer).
How do I make a Video Banking appointment?
To keep you from waiting and help us serve you best, Video Banking appointments should be scheduled in advance. This can be done at a branch or by calling 800.433.1837. Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email (and in some cases, a text as well) confirming the details.
When it’s time for my appointment, how do I attend?
Your confirmation email and text includes a link that reads, “Go to appointment.” This link will take you to our virtual portal on our website. Once there, click the button that says “Chat Now,” select “Video,” and you’re in! We look forward to seeing you there.
