She is chair of the Greater Spokane Incorporated (GSI) Board of Trustees and serves on the executive committee. She also serves on the board of directors for Rosauers Supermarkets and the Coeur d’Alene Area Economic Development Corporation. Carla is a past board member of the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and past chair of the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES). She was inducted into the CUES Hall of Fame in 2010.

Carla has repeatedly been recognized for community service and leadership. In 2023, she was recognized as one of the Spokane Journal of Business’ “23 People of Influence.” In 2022, she was listed among the “25 Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions” by American Banker. She was also named one of the 2022 Women of the Year by The Spokesman-Review. In 2019, she received the YWCA Women of Achievement Award. She also received the Dream Builders award for community service from the West Central Community Center in 2016 and the Inland Northwest Catalyst Business Leadership Award in 2014. Under Carla’s leadership, Numerica has received the GSI AGORA Award for Business Excellence and Spokane’s Philanthropic Corporation of the Year Award. She is a past recipient of the Tempo International Distinguished Service Award, the Athena International Leadership Award, and the Sam Walton Business Leader Award.

Prior to coming to Numerica, Carla served 19 years as president and CEO of CitizensFirst (now Verve) Credit Union in Oshkosh, Wis. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. She has also completed the CUES Certified Chief Executive Institute, the CUES Advanced Leadership Institute, and the CUES MIT Innovation Institute.

On a personal note, Carla has a passion for serving the poor and marginalized both at home and in developing countries around the world. She enjoys exercising, sailing, golfing, good wine, and spending time with her family.
