This year marks a major milestone for the Numerica Charitable Fund. For the first time, every nonprofit selected received the full amount requested.

The annual grant program supports nonprofits aligned with Numerica CARES for Kids, the credit union's philanthropic initiative addressing the causes and effects of youth poverty. Grants support prevention and intervention efforts that help vulnerable youth and families thrive.

Driven by a vision from Numerica President and CEO Carla Cicero to deepen the credit union's commitment to ending youth poverty, Numerica significantly expanded this year's funding to help nonprofits meet growing community needs.

"Through Numerica CARES for Kids, we are serious about ending youth poverty," said Carla Cicero, Numerica president and CEO. "This year, Numerica is investing more action and resources than ever before behind that commitment. These organizations are doing life-changing work every single day by helping families find housing, ensuring children have food to eat, creating educational supports and building brighter futures."

Compared to last year's $372,000 investment, this year's funding increased by more than 40%.

"The need is greater than ever," Cicero said. "More families are struggling, more children need support, and many nonprofits are being asked to do more with less. We wanted to provide as much relief as possible by fully funding every selected grant request, giving these organizations the resources they need to continue changing lives."

The grants help fund critical services including food assistance, safe housing, education support, youth mentorship, crisis intervention and family stabilization programs.
